2 How To Watch Video Tutorials (Script)

For other computer tutorials and articles for novice to intermediate computer users, click the link below this video. If the link is not shown, pause this tutorial and write down the web address shown on the display, then type it into your browser.

This tutorial gives suggestions for watching video tutorials stored on Youtube, using a Windows Computer. Many suggestions also apply to watching tutorials on an apple computer.

These tutorials are stored on YouTube. To pause & restart a Youtube video, click the symbol in the lower left corner. To move back and forth in the video, hover the cursor over the progress bar near the bottom of the video, then drag the circle on the red progress bar. You can change the volume by dragging here, and click the right end of this line to select full screen mode. To exit full screen mode, press the esc key.

To resize the video window, move the cursor over a window edge or corner until it changes to a double-ended arrow. Press and hold the left mouse button drag, then release the button. Drag the sides to change the width, drag the top or bottom to change the height, and drag a corner to change both height and width.

The "computer" and "recycle bin" folders are used in many tutorials. If they aren't both shown on your desktop, here's how to show them:
Right-click an empty area on your desktop, click "personalize", then click "change desktop icons". In the "Desktop Icon Setting" window, make sure "computer" and "Recycle bin" are both checked. Click them to change them. If you make changes, click OK; otherwise click "cancel".

These tutorials were prepared using Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1. If tutorial steps don't work for you, you probably have a different version of Windows, but can follow the tutorials with minor "tweaks". To see your Windows version, right-click the "computer" folder on your desktop, select properties". (demo)

Play the video through once full screen without interruption. Start it again, pause it, resize it, and move it to the side. If necessary, also move icons on the desktop to create a working area. Play and pause the video, and repeat the steps on your desktop, and "learn by doing".

Thats the end of this tutorial. Thanks for watching.
