The quicklaunch toolbar is just to the right of the start button, and expands as programs are added here. The toolbar is always visible, and a single click executes programs that are stored here. This tutorial shows you how to add or remove programs on this toolbar.

To pin a program to the quicklaunch toolbar, right it's name in the start menu, or right-click a program shortcut, then select "pin to taskbar". To unpin a program, right-click it on the taskbar, select "unpin this program from taskbar".
To execute a program on the quicklaunch toolbar just click it. Hovering over an icon displays a list of open files, or (if no files are open), displays the program name. (open a text file to demo.) If only one file is open, clicking its name or the program icon will alternately hide/restore it. (pause, open 2 more text files, move into record area).
If two or more files are open, clicking one will show it on top of the others. If you click the program icon, you must then select which file to open(or move to the top). To open a new file for the program when a file is already open, right-click the program and select the program. To close an open file from the taskbar, hover over it's name then click the x that appears to the right.
If you don't see a list of open files above the program icon on the taskbar, right-click the taskbar, select "properties", set box "taskbar buttons:" to "always combine, hide labels".
The middle area of the taskbar is to the right of the quicklaunch toolbar. It shows programs that are open, but have not been pinned to the taskbar. All the "hover feaures described for icons on the
quicklaunch toolbar also work in the middle area.
The middle area also shows open folders.
If folders are open, this icon appears; hovering over it will display a list of the open folders.
That's the end of this tutorial. Thanks for watching.
